We are currently experiencing the worst recession in living memory. At this difficult time very few, if any of us are immune from suffering financial hardship. Even if we are not suffering ourselves we will know people either in our family or circle of friends who are suffering hardship.
Life Line Food Bank provides emergency food parcels to those suffering financial hardship due to either an income or benefits shock. When these people are referred by one of our partners to Life Line Food Bank they are often penniless, not eaten for some time, often counted in days, they have exhausted themselves and all their normal sources of assistance and they have no idea where to turn next.
Life Line Food Bank based at Hollymoor Community Church exists to help people suffering food poverty by providing food parcels for up to three weeks.
We are partnering with agencies such as Social Services, Housing Associations, Police, Birmingham City Council and other charities that will refer people to Life Line Food Bank.  If as an individual you feel that you would benefit through the donation of a food parcel please ask one of the profesional agencies listed above to make referal on your behalf.
Life Line Food Bank operates on a referral only basis in the B31 and B45 postcodes. We are sorry we cannot accept referrals from outside these two post codes. In addition please note that we are unfortunately unable to deliver food parcels. These will need to be collected by the referred person from Life Line Food Bank based at Hollymoor Community Church.
We accept referrals from profesional agencies acting on behalf of their clients. These referals can be emailed to :

operations@hollymoorcc.org.uk

It is important that referals are sent from a reconisable professional organisation email. Unfortunately, we cannot accept referrals from private/personal email adresses.

Please include the following information in the referal :

  1. Name of person being referred
  2. Address of the person referred
  3. Contact phone number of the person referred.
  4. Details of dependants living with the referred person and their ages.
  5. Details of the reason for the hardship

Once a referral has been accepted by Life Line Food Bank we will telephone the person concerned to arrange a mutually convenient collection time.

We trust that this information will help to clarify our referral and enable professionals to gather the relevant information before making an email referral and therefore speeding up the process and enabling us to provide assistance as quickly as possible.
